We're so proud of the four schools in DHA's Promise Community footprint that made the Lt. Governor's Attendance Award list! Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann recognized Deer Creek Promise Community partner school Leland School Park Middle School; and Leflore Promise Community partners Amanda Elzy High School, Amanda Elzy Junior High, and Leflore County Elementary School for achieving chronic absenteeism rates of 15% or lower last school year.

Delta Better Futures' (DBF) Teen Educators recently led students at Davis Elementary through an anti-bullying poster contest during Red Ribbon Week! Every year, youth and adults come together during Red Ribbon Week to spread awareness about bullying and drug and tobacco use prevention.
DHA's Delta Better Futures program teaches adolescents and teens in our partner schools the skills they need to make good decisions that protect their health and well-being.

Exciting news from the Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program!
This year, we hosted our "Drop Off with Dads" event at ALL seven elementary schools in the Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District (GLCSD)! We're so proud of all the great dads and father figures that turned out. Four out of seven schools posted participation numbers more than DOUBLE last year's!
A special shoutout to Claudine Brown Elementary, which led the pack with over 90 dads joining in the fun. This incredible involvement not only boosts student motivation but also helps improve attendance—because when dads show up, kids are ready to conquer the day! Kudos to all the fathers and father figures who made this possible.
